Gender Reveal Party

I am a firm believer that pregnant should get what they want, whatever they want.  So if mom-to-be, Brynn wanted to throw herself a party then the woman should get to throw herself a party.  And what an adorable party she threw.

Brynn and her husband decided to share the gender of their upcoming child in just about the most festive way that I have ever seen.

Not even the parents to be knew the gender.  They took the results directly to the baker who made the inside of the cake either pink or blue.  They would be surprised along with their loved ones.

Cheerful, gender-neautral orange served the theme well.

Sugared champagne flutes for the milk = perfection.

I love the homespun quality of all of the detailing.

I love the strung progression of ultrasound photos.

The party games stayed on task.

The guests took their sides...

a little heavy on the girl side.

Pretty options of various sweet treats.

And then it was show time.

It's a girl!  I love getting to see mom & dads expressions as they find out as well.  Really priceless.

I also love that they already had names chosen for either gender so that they could share that as well.

She will be named Story.  So sweet.

Such a great event to get to share all the details with Story one day.

I'm not really a big party planner, but this party looks lovely and I just love the idea for the party and how the couple found out the gender along with everyone else! What a great thing to share with everyone!

I love that idea! As I was reading your post, I was entertaining thoughts of doing that with our next baby...So creative! We did something similar with our daughter Tara, but it was a simple dinner at my mom's to break the news. I love the idea though of coloring the cake either pink or blue...and Mom and Dad not even knowing until the party! How sweet...Thanks for sharing :)

Oh...I love it!! I am preganant with my third and my children (10) and (7) are just as excited as mom and dad. We can find out Dec. 20th...right before Christmas. This party just gave me the best idea! I'll let you know how it goes. shannon

A sweet idea and beautifully done. But....who the heck has time for this? I can see getting into the details of a party, just not /that/ much for what is a simple and sweet occasion. To each her own.

This. Is. Amazing. I love this! I'll be linking/sharing your post with my readers on my Friday Favorites--as this is baby week at my blog and all of my links Friday pertain to new parents. Looks like such a beautiful and special moment.
